    I find the they will run when automated and stand when not. The running when automated helps when you forget to go back and find out what happened to the enemy unit when you see it move on the AI turn. I also find that automated workers seem to know when enemy units are about to appear. I...

    I have found that all civs can continue to create their UU until they have had a GA. This would leave open the possibility of triggering one with that method.
