I've started with Babylon 3 times, and each time, I'm next to 2 rivers. Don't know if that's coded in, but seems to make sense. Strange coincidence if it's not coded.
Haha, what? My last win on Deity where I steamrolled everyone on my 2nd playthrough wasn't totally legit??
Actually I think this was just a straight misunderstanding of the floor/ceiling concept and of rounding in general. There are no lists or series involved here, where you would expect...
Wow, that's a pretty elementary programming, nay - math - mistake. Turns for next (anything) should always be calculated using the ceiling. So weird they added a iTurns = iTurns + 1 "fix" and then used the floor without even thinking in their head what that would do. They could have used a...
I haven't totally isolated when this happens, though I imagine the possibilities are endless. I have noticed that at least the Food and Production Focus does not pick the combination with the highest food or production, respectively. Check out the two screenshots (sorry low res). Clicking Food...
Complaint #536: there should be a way to see whether a city was a previous capital like you can with conquered city states. Some are obvious - Washington, Beijing, Kyoto, etc. Some aren't - there's not exactly a Bangkok, for example.
I've only seen the liberate option when I captured a city (e.g. Beijing when China had long been conquered) that was a former capital. I had captured multiple other former Chinese cities prior to that and never got the liberate option.
And I did notice that ghost message too at one point; I...
Yeah I agree, it would be way overpowered when applied to every city. They should leave the code how it is and change the documentation, or change the code so it affects every city and drop the bonus to 20-30% or so.
Of course not, silly. It's the new business model. There wasn't any testing prior to "release." We do beta testing for them, at the low low price of $50-60 for the privilege.
I was one of the ones who submitted a savegame with a crash on the 70th. Several other people reported a crash on the 70th as well. That's interesting then that yours crashes consistently on a different number...
How much RAM and video RAM do you have?
I got this too. Liberated Beijing and Wu Zetian is like "What do you want, oh bloodthirsty one?" And she was noted to be Hostile in the diplomacy screen.
I was all, "Um what? Shedding the blood of thousands of Greeks so you could be free again." After another 100 years of her sending me random...
As far as I know, Friendly city-states don't care at all if you're in their territory. It's only when they're neutral that the influence decays. At least I go in my friendly (not allied) city states' territory all the time and I get no notification nor does the influence bar decay any faster.
