    i tried using the version on the civ4 dvd, i reinstalled the game several times, i tried installing with different languages, i tried installing the directx version before installing the game and so on - it does not solve the problems.

    I installed civ4 without any problems, but when i try to start the game, i get the following error msg: "Failed to Initialize Renderer - Check DirectX Version and Graphics Settings" I have the newest catalyst driver and the newest DirectX Version 9.0c 3000+ Barton CPU Radeon 9600...
