What Are The Simplest Big (Impact), But Minor (Few) Changes That Might Fix Civ 7?

I completely agree with this. Get rid of the base yields and go back to fully doubling the adjacency yields like they suggested in preview interviews. If the AI sucks at that then you can let them keep some of the base yields. I agree with all of these ideas, though I feel like there must be a...

    New Continuity option.

Actually I liked the old version and now I don't even have that, as all units are preserved now even if I pick the old version in settings.

How many 1st ring quarters with ageless buildings?

Yes, but OP is trying to optimize gameplay boni, so I imagine they will usually want to change the Capital for a 2nd free City.

How many 1st ring quarters with ageless buildings?

Another note on the OP: your Capital may not be the same city in the next Age, so it may not be important, even for the boni you're shooting for, to place the Ageless buildings in the 1st ring of the 1st Capital.

    Switch 2 version confirmed

You have to do that for PC too. It's called the internet! In all seriousness, this is true for all consoles, though yes you *also* need internet access so PC is still cheaper.

    Diplomatic attribute points new imba

    1) Being afraid of the big bad *is* roleplaying. You got into the lead by grabbing the best land, by building all the coveted wonders, by having the best empire (which is worth conquering). If the other players were roleplaying, they'd all be pissed at you for being a bad faith ally, envious at...

    Diplomatic attribute points new imba

All they have to do is program the AI to try to do aggressive things if you have ludicrous yields. It doesn't matter how you get them, because if you're winning peacefully then the way to beat you is to fight. 3% per Alliance is perfectly reasonable, because other players have control over...

    Update 1.1.1 Patch Notes - March 25, 2025

Yeah I didn't think either of these nerfs were necessary. But making one of the Traditions worse would've already been a good nerf to stacking the traditions for combat strength. Lafayette being better on Distant Lands seemed like a good gameplay niche that I'm sad to see go. Perhaps all they...

    Et Cetera

Several of the Tech/Civic Tree Mastery names don't match the Quick-view (the bar on the left that comes up if you just want to change your research selection without looking at the whole tree) Mastery names. It doesn't really matter because they're still named thematically, but it can be confusing.

    Map Design

They're also talking about the positions of the zones, not just the shapes. Outer/Inner is not simply a shape change. Vertically/horizontally oriented is not simply a shape change.

Am I the only one feeling like the Civ count is getting in the way of replayability?

I really wish the game gave me a proper Random and had an option to have the AI choose randomly, or at least strategically. They always seem to end up running the same civs. And I always get Friedrich of Rome!

[1.0.1 Patch 3] Gold Purchase Price for Partially Constructed is not applied

If it isn't the intended behavior, then it shouldn't show a discounted Gold cost. Either way, there's a bug here.

Independent settlement just disappeared on me -- guess it's still a bug

Even underneath units, which I don't like

Converting to City should update the settlement name

Nice! I recommend you change the dialog options to Yes/No instead of Ok/Cancel, though. Cancel sounds like you don't want to make a City.

The point of religion in the modern age?

You get both, actually. The UI isn't clear, but you do get both when you select one.
