I'm sure that these must exist, but it's not always something that's easy to search for on the forums.
Can anybody point me towards mods that make the AI better at conducting warfare?
I like to play huge (or larger) maps with lots of Civs on Marathon speed and I like it when the AI gradually...
Ok, I'll try it out without R.E.D. and then I'll try it out without leaderheads and I'll get back to you and see if that was enough to keep it from crashing. Thanks for your time!
3GB of RAM, Dx11. It's worked for me before with the G&K version of the YNAEMP DLL, but I think I had leaderheads turned off for that. Even then I couldn't complete the game because there was a reoccurring crash that would always happen on the AI turn during one specific turn.
edit: To...
I just loaded a huge map with all the same Civs & settings (although a lower number of city states... 15 I think? I still gave the maximum it would allow) without it crashing. What are your thoughts? Should I post the log for this?
edit: Checked and it was 25 CS, not 15, when it worked...
My game has been crashing after clicking "start game". It loads the leader introduction screen and begins playing the audio introduction for about 4 seconds before the game crashes.
I'm attaching my lua log, and any help you guys can give in providing some insights as to how to fix it would...
You're both probably right in that my use of nomadic tribes as a catch-all term is most likely inaccurate. However, the problem still remains that we just don't know that much about them. The evidence I've read about the Marajo, for example, is pretty insubstantial--the general consensus being...
I think the problem here is that you entered in the middle of the conversation and didn't read the posts I had made earlier (that would make it clear that we've been in agreement this whole time). There is absolutely no doubt that most of the early cultures in Central Asia were nomadic--there...
Your argument was specifically about the area of South America that the Incans controlled, and Central Asia already has 4 civs that could be argued as representing the region: The Mongols, Babylon, The Huns, and Persia (also, arguably, the Ottomans)--I think that is more than enough...
Well, yeah, except the game already has representation in both of those regions... I'm not sure what point you're trying to argue here. I'm absolutely open to more liberal interpretations of what constitutes a "civilization", but Civ tends to stick to a more traditional and conservative...
Have you tried reducing the number of city states? My custom games were always crashing after like the first sentence of the loading screen until I reduced the number of city states to 20.
I've been getting a lot of crashes playing through a 26 civ game on Marathon. For the most part they've just been annoying and I've been able to get past them by saving a lot (they would rarely occur in the same place twice), but recently I've encountered a turn where the game always crashes on...
Just in case anybody else is having the same problem, I found the solution. It's the number of City States. Somebody said earlier that 29 was the magic number for setup, but apparently having that many was causing my game to crash as it loaded. Reducing it to 20 allowed it to start normally...
