This is an idea for a mechanic where at the start of the ancient era, renaissance era and modern era you get to choose a goal/ambition that act as a quest with bonus for completing.
You can complete the goals chosen by other civs and therefore complete multiple goals and block others from them...
I haven't bother reading through this whole thing but I have seen lots of people suggest different ideas for Australia and so far I have not liked most of them as they where either weird/uninteresting or historically/culturally incorrect.
So I am going to throw my hat into the ring...
I like the dojo and I like the idea of internal trade routes giving culture.
As for samurai beyond just getting the effect of Bushido they need something else to help them out.
Maybe they could get extra xp for kills and Bushido passed on when upgraded.
