If you're really looking to get rid of the video you can go in to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5 and open UserSettings.ini in a text editor and just change the line: SkipIntroVideo = 0 to SkipIntroVideo = 1 Don't forget to backup just in case, hope that helps!
