Civ 3 Gold Wrong Disc

How could this problem still be going on after 4 years? The first post on this thread was made in 2004 if I'm reading correctly. I just bought my Civ3 copy at BestBuy and am getting the no disk message. Hopefully taking it back to BestBuy can solve something.
