Great Leaders can't build Great Wonders?

Folks...thank you. That article was very helpful. ---------------------------------- "Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day, light a man on fire, and he'll be warm the rest of his life." War is God's way of teaching Americans geography.

Great Leaders can't build Great Wonders?

I am a long time CIV 3 player. Just found a copy of the "complete" version (its silver/chrome looking). In my vanilla version, my GL could hurry Great Wonders. But not in the COMPLETE version??? I'm struggling, here. Is this a bug or something? I can only hurry City Improvements and...

    War Weariness and Republic

Ah...read the article. So am I correct in my reading, that removing all troops for foreign soil reduces WWP by 1 per round? Whats a good way to see what level of WWP one is at? I'm playing vanilla if that helps. If I switch gov'ts, then switch back to Republic, is the WWP clock...

    Bombers and Mountains...

Thanks Cham...Perfect sense. The defense factor is fully in play, I see. So its tougher to bomb mobile infantry, but even tougher to kill fortified Infantry hanging out on a mountain.

    War Weariness and Republic

Trying to bring World War II to a close, without destroying Germany in the process. War weariness is at the highest levels I've ever been in. Over 50%, even in my capital. If I manage peace, but then, get attacked...does the "war weariness" counter start back at 0, or does it return at...

    MPP and You

I have a MPP with a nation that attracts more attackers than can be beleived. I want to declare peace with those who are now my enemies...and perhaps restore diplomacy to previous, pre war levels. Is it possible? Can I assume I can't enter peace with these other nations until my MPP has...

    Bombers and Mountains...

How does bombing work? I have a super stack of bombers attacking the savage AI. I noticed that they took to the mountains. When I bomb them in the mountains, I do significantly less damage. Its almost impossible to redline them with one bomber attack. This is Vanilla.

Where's all this agression coming from?

I tell you, the AI is the devil, and Mutual Protection Pacts are his children. I was on a similar road with my current game. The game had fell along the Babylonians and the Persians having a long lasting MPP. Everything was pretty balanced otherwise. The Aztecs were weak, and I'm playing...

    Be the defender

I bow to you understanding, as I am clearly a newb in the matter. The 640gp is the price one has to pay to "gold rush" a cavalry unit. I am playing vanilla. So it may or may not be different. Also, I could be oversimplifying. But does that number seem reasonable to you?

    Be the defender

In Civ III, there is a replication of this. The utils spent in creating, say, a Cavalry, is worth 640 gp. Built over time, the cost is reduced, but time is also spent, which represents gp and utils of production that could have went toward some other important longer lasting wealth (not...

    Be the defender

Umm...ok...whatever. You are saying size doesn't matter in real life. OK? Is that the bouncing ball now? If it is, then I'll say it again...you are incorrect. The size of the nation, and the nature of how they build empire has everything to do with their success in reality. Keep...

    Be the defender

If you wish to debate for the sake of debating, have at it. I love it. If I'm wrong, I'll happily admit it. First you want to discuss Russia, now you want to discuss the Mongols? I see the connection, so I won harrass you over it. I simplified the entirety of what took place between the...

    Be the defender

This was your point, correct? Then you tried to prove it with this? And this is where you were proved wrong. Russia never had its ass handed to them in war. Desperate...absolutely. They had to cull out a nation out of one of the most militant corners of our globe. They went from a...

    Be the defender

Don't accept everything you are taught at face value. The method that Russia used was incredible, whether done by plan or circumstance. Napoleon grand force was allowed to travel fast and far into the Russian theater. When it reached its objective, it was given no quarter, no provision. It...

    Be the defender

I understand where you are coming from, however, thats a very simplistic view point. What is huge country? What is a huge population? Its based on available resources, and distribution. The question is not on size, for that is relative...its about efficiency. A large country with greater...
