please someone explain how to do it for me. ive tried to pen up the pediaicons.txt with notepad, wordpad, and word and none of them work. is there any other way???
In my previous Civ III rules I had changed a lot of the names of the units and it worked fine after changing the art/unit/ini names. But with PTW I cannot play these same games because it says it cannot locate the new name changes. What I dont understand is most of the units come from the old...
Actually I should have put it this way. How do I add the new PTW Civs and their units to my old rules? Do I have to go in and type them all in or is there an easier way? I tried importing my old rules into PTW but it just deletes the new civs and there units. And my old Civ III files will not...
In other words how do I include the new PTW rules with my old Civ III map rules without having to open up a PTW map and retype all my rules from old Civ III maps???
sullla - yes u are right we can just ignore the problem and avoid settleling on resources. but can the ai ignore the problem and avoid this? the answer is no and this i just another limiting factor on the ai that i think could easily be fixed.
sullla i do not have a problem with the design of giving 2 outputs per settlement. i just dont like the idea of limiting any extra output you would normally have. this was done to prevent ICS. i just think there is a better way of doing this in limiting city settlement to prevent overlapping...

anyone realize after they changed the city settlement rule you could only get two of anything on the spot you settled? in other words now you should never settle on any good terrain because you will just lose shields, food, or money. if you dont settle on the terrain you can get its maximum...
