I like the idea of the bonuses ramping up through the ages. A small increase in the early eras, make it a big jump into Industrial and decent increments in later eras. I would also limit the cap somehow. 75%-100% is more fitting imo.
Yeah I really dont know how people could think this isnt broken. Turn 42 wins. Culture wins with zero Theatre Squares before Flight and the other techs and civics, whilst going full war machine. It's as broken as you get. I keep CV's off...but that meant I had to do a SV last game. Oh wow, do I...
I'm playing a new game now, Heroes and Legends. The first four tribal villages I cleared came with a popup with the new hero I have discovered...I have no idea what goodies I actually got.
The music. Early game it's great, Renaissance and later it's god awful. I'd also like to hear MY Civs...
Has there been an developer response to the excess tourism generation? I like going for a culture victory, the last thing I want to do is turn it off.
Last game I beat my old (pre corps) CV record by 125 turns. More than a little off.
Edit: I'll add - I was goin for domination too, just forgot...
Checked out your save. I've never played a Highlands map. If I was that big on a continents map I'd usually have 3-4 monopolies with that sized empire, just FYI.
Which means an accidental CV by about turn 200-210 if you leave it on.
Humankind looks great imo, but hardly a Civ killer. It's going to be a 'Civ-Lite' for when I want to relax and look at pretty scenery.
Even if they could get it on par with the complexity of Civ, it will take them a long LONG time. Dont expect it to kill anything. Id wager that most Diety level...
I dont think anything has changed, unless it has been in the last few hours.
I have played 3 or 4 games in the last 48 hours, some Emperor, some Immortal. Each time I was focusing on conquering my continent. I wasnt ignoring culture completely, 2-4 theatre square districts for about 25 cities...
