Thank you for all the replies, but I'd just like to make sure the thread doesn't veer toooo far off topic. As it stands, I'm NOT using the steam version. I'm using the version hosted here and still receiving crashes.

I've installed the community patch ONLY. At first I was using the outdated version here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=796976371 And it was working fine. I noticed the AI was doing a bunch of dumb stuff, so I looked into it and found out that that version is outdated...
