The installer places sound files into the Conquests sounds\build\misc folder. If your game is installed in something other than the default location, you must still make sure all the other folders and files are placed where they need to go.
The default path is C:\Program Files\Firaxis...
The ambient sounds were changed for the full install version that will be going out to schools. I regret that I missed that in providing all of you a free download of the scenario. As was posted however, you can easily restore the originals by copying the Civilization III ambience into the...
I am not certain of the timing, I think the production of the cd's is planned for the next week or so, however, I could not answer when the distribution time frame would be.
You may want to pop that question on the Historica site. They may beable to better answer you. :)
As is the case with any mod, it would be greatly appreciated if credit is given when items are used. Further to that, we would love to see what you do use in other mods.
A link back to the Historica site would be cool.
A lot of interaction may closer monitoring of issues may be found here.

Im not sure what to tell you about your problem. I do know that everything was tested on XP systems.
I was a part of the original development team for the Conquests Expansion pack. While doing that, I learned a great deal, and Breakawaygames was a blast to work for on that project.
Just wanting to make things a little clear however. Breakawaygames was involved in this project during its early...
I think this was answered nicely. Since the school system is the main target of the Mods, it was decided that an older version would be much more universal than attempting to use CIV. In the future that may change but as it stands now, our goal is to provide a tool to anyone with a PC. Hopefully...
Glad everyone has things sorted. I was kind of suspecting you may have edited the path :)
Anyway, as long as people use the proper install path, and only edit the portion for Atari or Firaxis, and do not add additional path info to the installer, it will take care of things for you all...
Okay, I have run the installer again on the PC with the Civ Complete package on the system, and had no problems at all with any extra folders. If any others are getting this same sort of problem, please post it here so I can trouble shoot it.
I do have one thought atm, but want to make sure...
Thanks for the screen shot. I am looking into this from here, but will most likely not have a definitive answer until tomorrow. I dont understand the duplicate complete folder, as this should not happen. I am running it on this machine tonight. Will keep you posted.
Thanks for the reply.
I will assume you have Program Files before Atari in your path.
The Civilization III Complete installer was based on the Chronicles package that is the latest available. Because of this, Firaxis Games is in the path rather than Atari.
If you use the Civ Complete...
The two installer packages were based on the two default locations used for the original civ3 Conquests package (Infogrames Interactive) or the newest edition which is the Civ Complete package.
What is the default structure program path for the (Atari) package?
At long last :)
Hopefully more will be added soon, and this was a fun package to put together. If you get a chance, tour the website linked to this mod, as it provides a wealth of historical info as well as just great reading. The timeline at the top of the welcome page is mouse reactive and...
