i just finished my mayan (agri/indust) game on monarch difficulty. by far my easiest win on monarch. agri/indust is very powerful combination; i was way ahead in the tech race. i went as far as getting modern armor and none of the AI civs even had infantryman yet. im thinking ramping up...

looking through my manual saves, i could be wrong. i only have 2 golden age files from 1695 AD and 1730 AD, clearly from 1 GA period. oh well.

ok, good to know about 'age of science' since game programmers have confirmed the bug. anyways, yea i did get 2 golden ages in my current playthrough of monarch difficulty. i know im not getting it mixed up with 1 GA and 1 'age of science", it was distincly 2 GA at different moments of my time.

ok, agricultural + industrious seems like the 2 best traits, at least on monarch difficulty. i couldn't fathom just how a +1 food on your city square would do much of anything, but it really helps, and also you don't have a dead city with a bunch of desert tiles, as long as you can irrigate it...

yea clicking on the upper right face works. i understand what your saying. when its the AI's turn, they sometimes bring up negotiations with you, and its either, take it or leave it, but you can't modify the terms. so clicking on the advisers face on the upper left so you have access to all...

ok i think i know why i got confused. when i finish researching a tech, or destroy a civilization, i always choose "whats the big picture", and never "Great, lets play the game". so if im scientific and enter the new era, out of habit i choose 'whats the big picture', and then i get confused...
