    Humankind Game by Amplitude

I think building your own avatar was a mistake, they should double down on historical avatars and make you choose one and even give them their own bonuses. Playing as Napoleonic Babylon/Rome/etc vs Elizabethan Egypt/Greece/etc would give the game more consistency and flair and also give them...

    Humankind Game by Amplitude

Have they released the benefits of staying with your current culture? Sounds like an interesting mechanic to go full Babylon or even Full Egypt and switching to Final Era Egypt, staying with England instead of switching to the Dutch in the "not-colonial" era, etc.

    Humankind - Indians discussion thread

the final era has been garbage and generic all around, probably should be some sort of rpg choice where you don't choose your last culture but earn it

    Civilization 7

Disagree, they should go to stacks with Total War style battles finally. It's been 15 years since Medieval 2 and Civ 4, but I have to hope one of them figures out how to combine diplomacy with real battles eventually.

    English Eleanor

Still not sure why the Leader gimmick was underutilized. So many possibilities from Constantine leading Rome and Byzantine to William the Conqueror leading England and the French or even Vikings, Various Hapsburgs and Borbouns. More than one Khan and they can both rule China! Hell just multiple...

    Civilization 7

Well what do you do if you're given free reign over Civ VII? For me I'd make the early game last longer and religion and technology mechanics both be more out of your control. Religion should spread organically from however many factors and a Nationalistic Religion for sure should not be founded...

    Your biggest fears regarding Humankind

I just want the earlier eras to last longer, this goes for Civ as well. Bronze Age going fast is not an issue considering we don't know as much as other eras as well as (because of) the Bronze Age collapse and it's a nice starting point regardless. However Classical should take up a huge potion...

Hint at 3rd expansion from Firaxis??

Will they add any leaders who are relevant or is it a scam to get us to order Civ 7?

    Civilization: Game vs. History

I don't mind the broad strokes but about half the leaders are indistinguishable from each other, everyone who doesn't have black hair has dark dark brown hair. If you're playing even an epic game, it becomes a chore.

    Civilization: Game vs. History

Not just history related but game wise as well, Firaxis is darkening hair too much. Cathy, Harald, Pedro, Philip, and perhaps Tomyris should all have varying degrees of red and blond. I can barely tell the difference between some of the leaders in the smaller portraits (Pedro and Philip...

All Quiet on the Civ Front

GIVE ME MORE LEADERS!!! Maybe this Egyptian Sarcophagus find will lead them to making Alex a leader of the Greeks lol

Greece and Russia ruin the game

Science and Culture need to have cross-tree (and more inter-tree) "blocks". It's only logical and historically accurate that you can't research the Cold War and Nuclear Proliferation or whatever the cards are named, when you don't have the Science tech for actual nukes.

    Civ4 lovers/civ5 haters, thoughts on civ6?

I agree V is pretty much an experimental 60 dollar vaporware, I still think it took too many steps back and 1UPT is never going to work since Civ will always be single player at it's heart and stacks of doom are much easier to manage for an AI.

    Civ4 lovers/civ5 haters, thoughts on civ6?

I disagree, the maps being much smaller is a huge downgrade regardless of other changes. the fact Civ 4 was a globe and 5 and 6 were just flat maps makes it even worse.
