What are you guys using these units for? Just curious, since SAM support isn't part of Civ3?

Hell, they even landed and fly a C-130 from a carrier, but this is not standard practice :) I think one of the biggest problems is durability. Planes operating from carries take more of a pounding than other planes. The undercarriage must be pretty strong.

Just an idea for the A-10, but you can also give it 2 attacks, to hit different targets, given the ability of the plane to loiter for long periods at the front.

<------- happy c0w!!!!!!!!! Yeah, many nations used these (over 50) and there have been enormous numbers built (over 80,000) in all sorts of varients from mortrar, to command posts, to TOW launchers, etc. This is generally not a fighting vehicle, like the Bradley, more of a "battlefield...

And just a quick suggestion ... The B-52 can carry Harpoon anti-ship missiles, so it could actually make a nasty long-range anti-ship strike aircraft. :)

Also, for the different types of aircraft, you may want to have some as carrier aircraft and others as not.
