Awesome! Now I can finally be the Byzantines. All the naysayers should remember that Civ IV wasn't really that great until BTS (the SECOND expansion).

What I really want is a mod like Rise of Mankind. Something that makes the game much more complex, adds lots of new units and new technologies, and generally changes it to a proper strategy game. Why isn't there something like that yet?

Well, I've been playing for a few days now and I really like it. I especially like that you can actually place the buildings wherever you want, instead of just unlocking buildings in set locations. However, it requires you to log in often, and as I just don't have the time to keep up with it...

This is great news. I prefer hotseat to online play because it's just much more fun to have your friend in the same room.

I don't mean to be excessively negative, but I really find the game to be almost unplayable, especially without hotseat, which is the main way I play Civ4. Without that addition, and the .dll to make some really groundbreaking mods, this patch seems kind of empty. We've had plenty of time to...

No disrespect intended, but not everyone liked Baba Yetu. Everyone I played Civ with (or next to) insisted that I turn the volume off completely while the game loaded. I agreed wholeheartedly.

I don't see any new info on the official site. Still just 3 screenshots, and information and features don't list any civs. EDIT: OK, nevermind. Now all of a sudden it's different (and awesome looking).

Anything but Baba Yetu. That song is so irritating I have to turn my speakers off until the game finishes loading.

Have you upgraded Civ to 3.19?

So invading Russia, then nuking its two biggest cities doesn't count as a war crime?
