Sorry guy, they have these sales all the time on Steam for big games, it's been out for like 5 months...that's actually a long time by Steam standards and it's a one day sale. I got Arkham, New Vegas, Mass Effect 2 on Steam sales less then 6 months after they were released at huge discounts...

I had civ 4, but never had time to get too into it, I always preferred the Total War series...what about my BTS question? I do like the fanciness of CIV5 I also don't care about which is better as far as who is right or wrong, I just hate melodramatic negativity and hyperbole.

Oh, i just surrounded it with spearmen and went "oh noooooez" as they all got killed.

In my game right now a city state asks for my help taking out another one. I attacked it with 4 spearmen and an archer and I didn't see the red bar move at all on it while my guys were beat up badly. How do I beat/intimidate them for the other guys, is there a diplomatic option i'm not aware of...

I haven't modded this game, so I'm ignorant about how it's handled. If you have a load order or mod manager maybe try changing the order or not using a mod.

How the hell do I deal with city states, do I need to have a ton of units?

I don't buy into all this garbage, retail sales have fallen dramatically, but digital purchases are through the roof. I own 40 steam games (or licenses) and have never been anything but happy with it. If you don't like digital distribution then move on or get ready to complain and dispense...

Thanks for the tips, I played a game last night and attacked some city state that was buddies with the Egyptians, they shot all my warriors to death with arrows. I don't see how I can beat those things without tanks :hmm:
