The worst thing about Boot Camp is Windows; even installing XP SP2 you still need to install about a zillion security patches and updates. Direct X is one of those things. You might run into something that wants .Net, too, which another thing not included in Windows.

It really did take me almost 2 days to download. I got disconnected a couple times. I have 2048/512....in country, and speeds that vary internationally, but are frequently slower than dialup. Maybe I'll seed the patch since I often get better upload than download speeds.

That is suspicious. If I ever get it all downloaded I'll report back. It may just be Safari reporting the size wrong. Somehow, I doubt it. Posting the entire disc instead of just the patch is so...Aspyresque.

Alan, you're a wonder. I can't thank you enough. I could not have done it without your help, me being a noob at Civ 4 mods. The Thai civ is now working in the vanilla 1.74 game with no error messages. I haven't played a full game with it; I'd sure be happy if somebody else would play it as well...
