Mech infantry can attack.... somewhat, however I have seen Cavalry easily trounce these things, yes. 12 attack isn't sufficent to win hardly ever against 20+defense infantry or 40+Mech infantry, all those defense bonuses add up. Plus no blitz, and they often loss to tanks(most mechs are...
I used to think that until I actually saw mech infantry. Then I noticed they attack with.... the tank cannon/sabot/heat round!! Hmmm. The unit would be fine if they attacked with guns. This seems to be the leading theory. Apprently it was some mistake that it attacks with a cannon instead of...
I agree with Reichmarshal and Zouve on this one.
Several points(somewhat like a rant):
1. There should be an *offensive* infantry. Why you ask? Well say a nation has *zero* oil. They have to build "riflemen" or infantry, which means that they are utterly useless at attacking in other words...
This seems to be *TOTALLY* the case. When I was playing fighting the barbarian Egpytians who, destory entire cities with drafting/hurring production in a matter of 1 turn, from size 30 to a city on the verge of death. I left one, yes one conscript mech infantry in a very large city(it somehow...
This is a grave problem. Example: I am fighting the Egyptians, I put a few tanks(just like 2-3) next to a city, that is size 27. Next turn it is about size 10. The CPU not only drafts to its utmost ability it will hurry production of mech infantry or other defense units regardless of the dire...
I fully agree. Do not switch to Republic as soon as you can. Monarchy allows very quickly expansion due to the low rage(unhappyness;) ). On very hard difficulties this useful strategy becomes even more useful. Works great as a religious civ. You can get to monarchy faster than republic if you...
They will probally think of something to speed up the game. If they can get it to remotely resonable speed, then MP is the way to go, unless of course you like the "cpu" foes. The game must be focused on the civs, the nations, etc.
I agree with Reichmarshal, in that MP works well when you...
Pure communism meant.... an ideal.
The exact reason I put pure communism instead of communism was: If I put communism someone will just say no, no that can't be left wing(denial)!
I was going to just put communism however that is the reason I did not.
A war strategy is almost always effective in Civ 3, since increasing your size helps you tremendously. I raze cities 70%(or maybe more) of the time to prevent fliping.
The problem with fliping is units loss. This results in almost constant city razing, which could lead to problems when...
Libertarian is by far conservative on most issues. For example free-market economics and the rights of the individual. However they are indeed liberal in some areas.
The current situation with each:
Far right=Hardly any government interference in most issues(unless extermley opposed to)...
Reichmarshal meant that it is relentlessly decreasing not flucating. This has been comfirmed and proven as fact. The speed can be debated if you wish though, if nessecary.
On the Libertarian test, I scored:
Your Personal Self-Government Score is 100%.
Your Economic Self-Government Score is 100%.
That lines up with with conservatives/libertarians
I would like to add some points.
The first being that when mutations occur the result is, the loss of genetic data, not the increase or a new form of genetic data. Since damage or change does not result in a new product appearing out poof nowhere nor does it equal a transmutation into...
