    I completely missed the Lua hint. I have never touched Lua but I do have some programming XP. Scripting for Civ3 sounds awesome. I pinky promise to learn and use Lua if you want to do the heavy lifting of implementing it.

    Random thought that occured when I was playing Carthage; Is hasContactWith(Spain) a condition you could potentially check for building units? Might be colourful to be able to build Gallic and Spanish mercenaries on condition that I had contact with those civs.
