its a CD version (both the original and BTS). And, yes, Civ 4 has the most recent patch. The build says that its the final one. I'm still getting the same error message when I try to install it.

I recently bought a brand new HP laptop with Windows Vista. I installed Civ 4 but can not install BTS for some reason. I just keep getting the message "The patch failed to install. Aborting installation!". Does anyone have any idea why it keeps doing this. Also, sorry if this has been posted...

I also do not understand what you guys mean when you say that you're chopping and whipping and it equals "275 gold." How do you chop for gold? Is that just changing your city to build wealth after chopping or whipping?
