    Moving up to Prince Help

Wanted to give you guys an update: Japan/Prince/Standard/Earth I went for an Honor start and managed to stay even with the AI, teching along and biding my time until samurai. Once I got them I rampaged through Gandhi, taking his Petra-city and Delhi before peacing out. Now I've got muskets...

    Moving up to Prince Help

In my first attempt I was making a lot of puppets - I love having cheaper social policy costs, so I generally only have three *real* cities and then just puppet my conquests. Seems like I should focus on scouting and city placement though - how useful are the suggested location icons that the...

    Moving up to Prince Help

I play Civ for the fun aspect rather than the challenge most of the time, but I've recently been finding that Warlord has just become me moving along until I reach the technological supernova that you can get in the later part of the game on easier difficulties and then I just steamroll into my...

    New Patch and Loading Times

It's possible. I'm playing off a laptop. I started a new game and it created the world pretty quickly (it's an Earth map, so does that affect creation speed?). I haven't had to reload it yet, but I'll let you guys know how it works. Worst case scenario, I find a book to read while it's loading...

    New Patch and Loading Times

Hey all, I was just wondering if the new mega patch does anything to reduce the amount of time it takes to load a game at start-up. Having to wait ten to fifteen minutes has really crimped my desire to play, but I'd start up again if I only have to wait a few minutes. If an earlier patch has...

    Long Loading Times

I was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing extremely long loading times when booting up a saved game on CivV (or CiV, whichever is the proper abbreviation) and if there's any way to fix this issue. It's not gamebreaking, but it is annoying to have to wait 1-3 minutes before I can...

    Slavery

Yeah, but what would his traits be? If they made him so that he would be Monty x5...well, you know, he has one city and attacks the leader. :D For that matter, why not throw in Mussolini and Hirohito? All the WWII Allies are there...WWI people would also be a nice touch.

It turns out your bad luck is all my fault

Could you explain that combat box a little more, please?

It turns out your bad luck is all my fault

Yes, Technobabble is great. Although it is impossible to get one field to be stronger at the outside than in the center, multiple fields could be placed in order to enhace the edges of the containing field. Then, theoretically, so long as the apparatus remains in place, the outside would be...

It turns out your bad luck is all my fault

...Good point... But that's not the issue! The issue is that we have to be able to synthesize luck! XD

It turns out your bad luck is all my fault

But the containment issue is solved - store them in a vacuum, suspended by magnetic fields. The hard part is turning them from antimatter into matter, which would turn them from antipositive to positive. Obviously, we need Future Tech [Infinity Symbol] to get this far...

    Strategies as Bismarck

Actually, I'm a few % points away from a Domination victory, now. But yeah, I'll have to go up to Warlord.

It turns out your bad luck is all my fault

Out-of-argument: Gah! In-argument: Of course, of course, but if you invert a phase-matter disruptor so that it turns energy into matter (rather than the other way around, naturally), you could theoretically trap chanceons as they form and turn them into solid mass. A star-powered inverter...

    Strategies as Bismarck

Heh, thanks for the info. Here's the game, if you want to peek:

It turns out your bad luck is all my fault

This is a great thread. But have you tried using a neutrino inverter to convert negative chanceons into positive ones? I think that should do the trick. If that fails, which it shouldn't, use an inverse tachyon beam to create a time/anti-time rip in space, which will then spew out...
