    Atomics: up close and personal?

But then you have to keep the city which may not always be possible or advisable. Scorched earth and spite would be reason enough but I get your point. In all likelyhood, using the nukes to change the terrain or de-terraform it isn't going to be your primary reason for using the nuke...

    Atomics: up close and personal?

I don't think the % chance of removing the stoneburner effect is a bad idea, I think that its better than the effect being removed automatically just by spending a turn in the city. For cities with the lower tier medical facilities this makes a great deal of sense, if somebody has the...

Dune Wars 1.9 Final Release Feedback

A minor thought occurred to me: Why are the barbarians in Dune Wars called the Arrakeen? Shouldn't they be called the Jotakoru, which was the water stealing tribe. I can't remeber if they're in Children of Dune or in Dune Messiah, but their backstory was they stole everybodies water and all the...

    Atomics: up close and personal?

It would be possible for it to give several promotions with different %'s. Each percentage could be linked to a medical building, for example, have a -10% promotion be removed automatically by a clinic, a -20% by a mushmetal, etc. The idea being that these are city buildings which the AI tends...

    First complete game feedback

I had that happen in my game last night, Leto got bribed to go a quarter of the way around the world to war with me, I don't know what he had on those six carryalls but after taking them out he agreed to peace shortly after. Anyway, he did escort them but he got to "land" on the last movement...

    Atomics: up close and personal?

In the books the stoneburner skirted the convention by only maiming people as opposed to killing them, specifically using J-Rays which had a tendency to melt only the occular tissue leaving the exposed blinded. It was the Quizaret as directed by Korba who moved a stoneburner onto Arrakis...

    Atomics: up close and personal?

The later starts should be something that is simple to do and whatnot, but I know it's not and I am not going to complain about it. Dune Wars is not CIV, and the tech tree isn't as long in terms of gametime to get to point where you need to be to start expanding, unlike CIV where you could be...

    Is this game good now?

The mods have really helped the game get some life back into it. The Age of Further Discovery is an excellent mod I would recommend. But otherwise, if you're not into playing the mods, I probably wouldn't bother with it.

    Atomics: up close and personal?

I think having a suspensor missle cruiser carrying the missles would be a good idea, as well as increasing the range a bit. As a side point in regards to atomics, there ought to be an espionage option for a spy to try and covertly slip a nuke into someone's city, Civ II had this back in the...

    Finding Leaderhead Art

"3dArtist" That would not be me. I have recently been re-reminded that I have no real editing skills outside of xml. Sigh.

    UN Mandates

I try to vote against things rather than for them. Most of the madates will only get in your way (environmentalism, bleh). I do like the single currency mandate though.

    Nukes shot down

You can also rebase the the tac nukes to a nearby city or fort which can be handy, does lead to a comparitively long nuclear slugfest though.

    Jao, the weakest, maybe not?

I think zara is a much bigger problem if left unattended than Jao, expands well, techs well enough, and has a better UU. All of which adds up to a strategic problem best dealt with early on.

    civilization 4 sucks "PART 2"

"Quantity has its own quality". There is much truth in that.

Oh, wow... Monty really IS a nut!

Good slugfest world: Alex, Monty, Izzy, Cathy, Jules, Napoleon, Toku, and (I suppose arguably) Sitting Bull.
