    Why is the AI so easy in MP?

    You can increase the AI's difficulty, but that'll just raise their economy/turn: growth, production, money, and research. In any difficulty, the AI is rather easy when it comes to warfare. They're not program well enough to time a good flank, pillage, distraction, amphibious assault, etc...
