    Civilization is racist

Wow that's just . . . wow! Civ, AoE, Rise of Nations and any other game that gives you control over a real world civ is bound to bring out all sorts of inappropriate and possibly racist remarks. I am not a racists neither are my friends, yet when we sit down to a lan game of civ 4, lines like...

    My take on it

The problem I have with all of that is, They expect us to pay more of my hard earned cash in order to bring the game up to what it should have been from the start. They'll slowly release DLC civs 1 or 2 at a time making us pay for each new thing 1 at a time. Then IF they release an expansion...

Does the Civ V tech tree even make sense?

Harvetsmoon, That is possibly the best idea ever for a tech tree. Kudos to you sir.

    AND Mega Civ Pack

I installed all the civs and leaders (thanks for this by the way). However now when I play it seems that the dynamic civ names do not work. Every civ is just labeled as "Civ Empire". Is this a known problem? Does anyone have a solution if so?

    Historical Immersion Factor

For me it's more then just resources outputs that add more immersion to Civ 4. There are so many factors going in the game that shape the narrative. I know that people like or hate me based on religion (which is not a magic auto-ally feature I don't care what anybody says). I can see that...

What exactly do you think the A.I. needs?

Civ 5 vs Rise of Nations

So I'm pretty much just thinking out loud here, sharing some of my thoughts on Civ 5, all comments are welcome. It's pretty obvious to anyone familiar with Rise of Nations that Civ 5 has borrowed heavily from it's features, examples including : Embarkation, Capital City being only...

God damn this game is good

I always have artillery when I attack a city. It goes like this : bombard till it's got zero defense, then attack with maybe half of the total siege that I have with me to cause collateral. If those siege units are properly promoted then there is a very good chance they will survive the...

God damn this game is good

If you read my previous posts, you would see that I was arguing against using suicide catapult attacks. I only ever use my siege to bombard city defenses and then maybe use 1 to cause collateral. My point is that anyone who sends catapults on suicide missions is not planning their attack well...

God damn this game is good

Properly promoted siege weapons could easily survive combat.

God damn this game is good

You know that bombardment was in Civ 4 right? If you're sending catapults on suicide missions I would argue that you are not planning your attack properly.

The problem with Diplomacy in ciV

There is no "brilliant and exciting diplocmacy mechanic". The fact is that the ai will always declare war on you it's just a matter of time. It doesn't matter if I have been ripping myself off to trade him resources for the last 3000 years, if we have a mutal enemy or any future benefits that...

    this game is boring

Not at all. I know all the stratergies to win in Civ 4, but that doesn't make it boring because each game is a new set of challenges. When I start a game of Civ 4, I have to find the best quality land near me and make sure I settle it. Relations with my nieghbours and other ai is important...
