    Abusing the AI - Gold before DoW

    Maybe have the AI only willing to give a lump sum in exchange of a per turn item for a period, only if there a Declaration of Friendship between the trading partners that lasts at least a certain portion of trading period. At least the DOW would have negative diplomatic consequences.

    The instant-ships thing is dumb because...

    Perhaps the game interface should prompt before embarking a unit when its ultimate destination is another land hex. Does not G&K give embarked land units some defensive strength and allow a naval unit to stack with an embarked unit? I do admit that instant embarking evokes an image of land units...
