Civ goty includes the dlc that added the incas and spain. When I first downloaded g&k, it disabled the incas, but that was fixed with a patch a few days later. I assume that the op just has vanilla civ v and gk.

Petra is really nice for the inca if you can find a nice river running through desert hills and mountains.

Trading posts give you money, which a production poor city can use in lieu of hammers. They also give science with the second policy on the left side of rationalism.

Wouldn't 'hexing' it in by surrounding it with 6 units be more effective? I also wonder if you could possibly (with enough units) herd GPs out of your territory, or into a out of the way place. A detainment camp of sorts. :)

Are you playing on standard speed? 96 pop is insane. What options do you see in the victory status tab? You should see if domination, science, and the other victory conditions are there. I think there is a certain tech needed for the Utopia project, but I am unsure. I've managed to build it...

I also have this problem. I Bought the GOTY edition, which includes the Inca. Now that I have bought/installed G&K I no longer see Incas in-game.
