Yea, I would but the lappy is a company machine and not upgradeable without mobo mods involving surface mount soldering... Maybe if the budget gets released I can upgrade it next year. Right now I'm looking at upping the RAM to max and trying to run Civ5 in a VM, or getting hands on a Dell...

Actually you will notice that beyond the title, the folks that have it working are actually running the 965 not teh 945. I've been following that thread since it started, due to the lack of comments to the similar one I started on release day.

Actually I haven't seen anyone running it on Vista or Win 7 with the Intel 945. Someone did mention they were able to get it on XP sp 3 on the 945. I've seen a few who have gotten it to go on the Intel 965. Alas I am also stuck in 945 land on a Dell D620, so if this turns out to be incorrect...

Dell D620 with Core2 Duo 2.2 ghz, 2gig RAM with Win7 32b. Only thing holding me down is the Intel IGP 945... Crashes with error report trying in DX9. Trying in DX10/11 just craps out without loading. Anyone know some "test" drivers? Running great at highest settings on my workstation tho. It...
