in civ4.ini, you can set AutoSaveInterval to 1 (to get a save at every turn) and MaxAutoSaves to a large value (to keep all the saves). The second one is new with patch 1.52 but the first one proved usefull with all those early crashes...

yes, I can see that. But what then ? I must be dense but what can you actually do with a profile ? Where is it stored ? What options can you configure ?
