Hey, Thanks for the advice, I got rid of the saved game (with sadness), and am now trying to start a new one using 3.19. The R&F map mod loads, I can pick Japan again, but then when it gets to the auto-play turns remaining screen just stops. Nothing at all happens, progress, no nothing...
