I tried making a modpack following these steps (including removing the community patch .dll beforehand) but any time I start a modded game with Multiplayer Mods Workaround it kills everyone's settlers at the start of the game. I made the modpack anyway, and it sort of works...except all the City...
I figured most of the issues were related to the base game and not the mod. Thanks for clarifying! Does this include allied city states not having 'open borders' with my country? Is that possible to fix? It seems wonky that my allied city states can't walk through my giant plot of land to help...
Saw an article on this mod at RPS - got me to reinstall after not having played Civ 5 for about 6 months. I wanted to give my feedback but given that I haven't played vanilla in a while some of these issues may be related to the base game.
- AI has not been repairing pillaged improvements...
This is a big turn around. We will get to the effects of our actions on the relationship status with the AI. We may not know exact correlations but hopefully it will prove that diplomacy isn't as random as many feel.
I have ~30 board games and I've only paid retail once (cheap card game)
I pretty much buy all of my board games from Cool Stuff Inc. Through the Ages is a great game and it would be hard for me to pick up the new Civ game in addition. Anything with over a 3 hour playtime gets hard to play.
As simple as possible that results in maximum strategic choices. Complexities that add tedious management or "calculator math" strategies may seem more deep to some players but it's not. You're often falling under the false assumption of having fairly equal strategic choices. Often times the...
Suleiman's new trait seems too powerful compared to Arabia only receiving +1 gold per route (in addition to their oil bonus). I would say give Ottomans +1 gold per route in addition to their base trait. The point of this mod appears to be to change diplomacy and adding other things may make...
This would be huge if we could make sense of the diplomacy file. I think "fixing" diplomacy is very doable with a mod, probably unlike AI.
I assumed the same thing.
Just go for horsemen early on, ignore the bottom 'iron' tech track. Capture cities early and puppet. By ignoring iron they won't build barracks/armories and puppets will become good cities. Later in the game when you have been forced to research the 'iron' track just start annexing them before...
What's the difference between approach and opinion? Are you saying approach = during war and opinion = before war?
Is there an obvious parameter for defining 'warmonger' so that defenders don't get labeled incorrectly?
Why is the +7 not affected by modifiers? I was under the assumption that the bonus over mounted units was +100% to whatever your aggregate combat strength is. So if your spearman has an 8 strength and a mounted unit engaged the spearman the +100% modifier would bring the total to 16. Is that not...
Well - I suppose that's what I mean. He is likely well off and would have been at any company. Seeing him go to a company that churns out generic games at a company like Zynga is pretty disappointing. I'm sure their pay was better than the competitors but Brian Reynolds was the lead designer for...
