of being wimps. I tried to load my game one turn before I enter a Goody hut and got the same frickin result time after time after time after time after time, pretty annoying isn't it, yeah, I hate getting the damn maps from colonies, pisses me off....

Seems to me that if you turned off the Movement animation, things would move faster also, I know my dad plays Civ2 with out any movement animation, may not use any battle animations either.

How do you get the AI to leave your territory? It seems to me I always have to leave their's in two turns at least. How do I make them get out of mine in the same amount of time?

You slam our "manufactured music" and call it bleah, but you listen to Ramstein who wouldn't know music if it hit them in their @$$! Plus, most of the stuff they produce is, "manufactured". Those are not instruments, They're sound effects manufacted in a studio.

I always sucked when playing the game. I didn't spend a WHOLE lot of time on it, like I do Civ 3, but the time I did spend, I didn't get very far :cry:

Ok, this may be true, but, Wendy's is by FAR way better than McD's or Burger King. They are like a KFC, you see, there's fast food, and then there's Wendy's, or KFC, but... Look, I don't want to start a flame war, just saying... Look knowltok3 you said don't quote me and now 2 people already...

I checked the sometimes radial, because sometimes I play with it on, sometimes I forget... I do think it helps though, sometimes...

I feel the same way, the only gripe I had about the SNES version was I didn't like how I couldn't get the AI (can we still call it that compared to Civ 3??) to keep his units off my land and there was no diplomacy, but, this came only after I had played Civ2 on the PC, no complaints before then.

I've played a Civ for the PC but don't know when it came out. I bet you could got to Firaxis or Microprose and check it out. I liked playing Civ on the SNES. Had to emulate it on my comp. I loved it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but all these threads that talk of the games lasting for 15 min/turn and such, don't take into account you can turn off the animations. I don't know how much that would cut down on the time, but it seems to me it would be significant. Am I right?

Seems to me Firaxis has made an ironic overlook when developing Civ 3. I would bet that a lot of the posters to these forums get their "entertainment" from VIDEO GAMES! Why not have a tech/wonder after Computers are researched that allows the build of a Video Game hall of Fame or a Firaxis...
