I think Civ3 was playable from beginning. It had simple and user-friendly interface + scenario editor so you was able reslove balancing issues without waiting half year till official patch.
Sure it had several tech problems, but it's nothing compared with ugly Civ4 interface and boring game...
That's the problem, if i turn on production automation governor starts producing units, national wonders and etc, which i don't need. On other hand if i turn it off, i will have to run through all my towns to add some newly discovered building.
Yeah it's stupid when some spearman is killing modern armor.
Wondering sometimes how it could hurt it at all. :) Prolly with laser spear or something like that.
P.S. Yes i'm abit upset about losing 15 modern armor to 1 Mech Infantary. :)
1. It sounds very logical that roads and raildroads give bonuses to trade since it's hard to trade without roads or somewhere where you had to wait 10 hours in traffic jam to reach your destination point. :)
2. If i remember right there was no automatic public works in CTP2 and you had to...
I don't understand why ppl keep whining about ai traiding techs. What is reason to play in civ3 with ai who has 10 archers against your 10 tanks which was happening often even on reagent lvl?
More realistic? What are you smoking? What do you need to do in RL if you want to build road? Sending workers like in civ3 or clicking on silly icon and got road from nothing in no time.
Only thing which i whould like to see in workers abilities is terraforming and they whould work perfectly.
I got simular problem. Did you tried to run your save game with old (1.07f) version of civ?
Here is link to my save: http://forums.civfanatics.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=135539
I don't know is it connected with patch directly but my game is crashing when i'm trying to end my turn. Tried to replay that turn from auto-save but game was crashed again at the end. Tell me if something wrong with it. Save attached.
