Thanks, this will be really useful. Many times (especially on harder levels) I retire just to get a look at the world map to see if I have a decent chance of expansion. This will save me from having to do that.
Does anyone know what exactly happens when you go over the optimum number of cities for the map size you're playing on?
If you build a city over the limit is just that city more corrupt or is the corruption spread out over all your cities?
Is the penalty bad enough that you should never go...
The main thing I'm trying to figure out is if the added corruption from having a lot of cities is worth the added territory (which ups your score). The AI seems to try to hold as much territory as possible, and if you raze a city another civ usually moves in to take the area. However, civ3.com...
Something that took me a while to figure out is that in order to upgrade a navel unit the city must have a harbor.
Here's my question:
How do you destroy/abandon a city of yours that has already been built?
