I don't understand what you mean by "spamming" the screen or whatever. Please explain.

I have encountered the same problem and have seen other posts on other forums citing the same problem. No fix as yet. Totally frustrating. I hope when they finally patch it I can play my saved game, from just before the deal, and continue the game.

When you set up the game if you choose Epic it takes longer to research and do things. Not sure if this changes the time to build buildings or units though

Hold the shift key and pick your builds. They will line up behind the first one.
