so Monumentality just seems so much better than any of the other options. Combined with Theocracy, I’ve been buying settlers for ~360 faith and builders for ~160 faith and given I’m generating ~100 faith per turn, mainly from some early relics, it’s catapulted me to a position where it is now...
Yup, the whole climate change mechanic is out of whack as it stands. It happens too fast, and it's essentially unpreventable with the costs for dams exorbitant and all the greener alternatives coming far too late.
I do agree that friendship and alliances as they stand kind of remove the need to care about grievances and other actions, since auto renewal is effectively guaranteed.
Do alliances reveal the map now?
One minute I’m exploring, the next minute all of sudden the entire map reveals itself. Timing coincided with an alliance created with the Cree.
Seems a pity, as all exploring is over by 1120 AD.
Preventing the CO2 rising seems almost impossible. Once it goes, it goes up really fast, so you (or the AI most likely on the harder difficulty levels) will have zero opportunity to utilise alternative power until it's already too late.

I thought the Polygon review was quite fair, and I agreed with much of what was said about the general state of Civ 6. I haven't played Civ 6 since the last patch was released and even then I didn't finish the game after running into the same old stale late game with a lacklustre AI. The...
