Not really an icon but I have noticed when in the worldbuilder there are what appear to be black stone circles on the map, can someone please tell me what they represent?

I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere, but in the city resource screen, there is a slider to see what resources you, but it doesn't seem to work...I'll try edit this with a screen shot later.

Hi everyone, I'm 45 and have been playing Civ since I had an Atari way back when.... Civ IV is good but I'm really impressed with the Fall from Heaven mod series.
