I personally have one fire for the spells and then the rest are stacked depending on my objectives for the game. i like to stack my bonuses because in my experience, diversification is not all that...
hehe... i probably wouldn't have asked or noticed had the patch always been titled "m". but there was a time that "l" was listed there... i just got renamed. :)
i think the key would be to improve the archers just enough so that they are competitive and useful - but not overpowered. I would fear that over-improving them would basically turn the tables and make it so we don't use melee units for city defense.
I like the idea... it would definitely create a different strategy in terms of gunning for mana nodes - and it would dictate what mana you build. the downside is (at least with your current proposal) they all require chaos.
But yeah, it would make for certain judgment calls. I enjoy using...
This has been discussed quite a bit (do a search on the forums). The problem is how maps are generated, depending on your map type and your custom game settings.
Interesting. I ran into this problem once as well. My poor vassal had two cities and one was taken by barbarians. When I took the city over, there was no option to hand it right over to the vassal. In the diplomacy windows, there was no option to gift the city either.

a less uniform/efficient way to learn specific info is just to do forum searches. that's basically what i've done to learn about game concepts (like the Armageddon counter) and the world spells and such.
