It's out in Switzerland. I'm in the midst of my first game. It definitely meets (and even surpasses) the hype! Things I've seen so far, like differeniated non-unique units and the way the fog fades from the map

I am having the same problem, even with the latest patch, and Warlords installed. I think the problem has to do with the capability of my integrated intel graphics solution (82855). By freezing animations the animals appear stagnantly but then all unit animations are also frozen.
