Thanks. Whilst I have PaintShop Pro and Adobe Photoshop, they are both quite old versions, PSP7 with JASC Animation Studio, and PS7. Would these still be capable of doing the job, and where would I find the plugins?

How do I create/edit the unit graphics for Civ4? What programs would I need, and could those graphics be adapted into graphics for Civ3? I can't seem to find much about nif and dds files.

I'd actually planned to upgrade my RAM for a while, and after increasing it to 3MB I haven't seen the problem again yet. Will see how it goes before trying that fix.

I am having problems with Civ4 during the later stages of games. The map display can fluctuate, the game frequently crashes to desktop, using saying something along the lines of couldn't allocate graphics memory, sometimes the entire monitor stops working, or the computer reboots. I have...
