Could be that the game has issues with Nvidia cards. I know I have the same problems running an older (?) 5600XT on otherwise similar system. The part I'm not getting is the cards meet the system requirements listed on the box. It should run no problem. But it doesn't and nothing seems to help...

Downloaded the patch. Didn't fix a thing for me. Huge map still drrrrragggggsssss very slowly during turns. *sigh* Didn't crash to the desktop though. Of course, I only played one turn of a saved game. In short, the patch didn't fix any of my problems. Back to the drawing board. Kind of...
