    Mapuche Strats

Since repairing tiles doesn't cost builder charges, I'm fine with it as is. It prevents Mapuche from becoming too aggressive. I'm okay with the loyalty modifiers for pillaging and killing enemy units, since I end up pushing past the city I'm trying to flip and pillaging those neighboring city...

    Mapuche Strats

The Mapuche is starting to become my go-to Civ for all map types. They can generate a lot of culture early in combination with Monuments and Liang's City Parks, and considering Mapuche is quite improvement driven already, having her as a Governor seems like a no brainer. The +10 Strength...

    The Chopping Imperative

It depends on the situation? If the bulk of production would be coming from those forests with maybe a single plains hill, you'd be robbing Peter to pay Paul. Sure you'd get a full Campus, but its taking all your production away, so instead of a steady 10 production per turn, you're down to 4...

Condition-skewed Civs seem particularly nice, however, throwing your weight into one area doesn't suit my tastes. Geographically-skewed Civs aren't as bad even though I play mostly on Fractal Maps. I'd...

    The Chopping Imperative

I guess it depends on what's around your city. Lumber Mills are great for cities with sparse hills (especially Grassland ones), or a few Plains hills with forests. I don't chop unless I'm building an Industrial Zone/Dam/Aqueduct combination or if there's a 'must-get', like pumping out a Settler.

    Are Relics Worth The Effort?

My favorite Civ is Poland for a multitude of reasons; from the Culture Bombing using Forts and Encampments, to the Unique Building that replaces the Market. But the thing that keeps getting me tangled is that bonus to Relics. Considering the amount of planning or sheer luck going into a game...
