This issue seems to have fixed itself, not sure what happened here...oh well.

I started a game today as the Songhai, the game is running fine and I can load it without a problem except that I can't embark my land units even after discovering Optics. Of course I know that they must be in friendly territory to receive the upgrade but even after they return to my borders...
