I did a search and saw the opposite happening to people (where the player would have a stack of units outside a city and the AI would pour out attacking it and leaving his city defenseless).
Well, my defenders inside my cities are doing this.
I didn't notice it until I installed the Earth...
I'd like a little smaller map as well.
I'd like to think I have a decent machine (2.8ghz P4, 2gigs of ram and a 256mb video card)... but once I get to about 1500 the game starts to slow down... and by the 1980's it is crawling.

Anyone have an interest in playing a large/huge-ish map of Texas with the scenario being: Texas has broken away from the USA and becomes it's own "country". Civil War is imminent.
