Is it all too complicated for you to learn on your own? :S I know that when I started playing Civ3 I looked past the tutorial and just played a long and fun game. What I suggest is to explore other means of playing the game other than the tutorial.

What I was thinking of doing first was to have direct IP connect sessions planned ahead of time. For example, we'd create our own profiles for our civilizations and then go ahead and have a game planned ahead of time, no PITBOSS involved.
