Is there any word on a patch or a fix coming from 2k? I sent them an email, but I seem to have gotten stiffed like the rest of their pissed-off consumers. Somebody needs to be bludgeoned for this.

I have a 9600, and it doesn't work. I'd put it off until the patch comes out. I've heard rumors they're trying to get the fix out by tomorrow.

This is total speculation, as Firaxis isn't mentioning anything official for marketing purposes. However, I would assume this would be fixed tomorrow, as I've heard tech support say. This is a huge screwup, and they'll likely have the team on it for quite a while trying to get it back online...

In computer terms, 5.10 is larger than 5.7. They don't refer to them as decimals. 5.10 is the tenth subsystem for the 5th version, whereas 5.7 would be the seventh.

I use a normal radeon 9600. No game. It's not just the XT cards. You know what pisses me off the most? Those little l33t-offs complaining on IGN about how "omg civ4 is teh crapx0rz c0mpred 2 aoe3 lolz!" are obviously playing the game before me. Well, at least one of them has to be.
