    The CFC Confessions Thread

I just find too much of it to watered down and similar, though. I could listen to a CD from a quality non-pop artist and distinguish each song from the next through how much individuality is in each piece. I find a pattern in most pop artists that simply find a style that made them successful...

    The CFC Confessions Thread

I can't stand 90% of the crap that the radio plays, and like 98% of the top 40 songs (there are exceptions though - Jazz radio and classic rock). Some internet hits aren't all that bad though, and some popular film scores and game soundtracks are brilliant. What do people actually find in...

    The CFC Confessions Thread

Ah... I'm unsure to where this thread has been lead to, but I'll make a confession list for myself. I lurk here every now and then, mostly when I feel uninformed about current events or that I haven't heard the opinions of enough liberals lately. I usually don't post very often because I'm...

Indian Music - Old vs. New

I listened to about 2 minutes of each song posted. And yeah, the traditional music is far superior. I've grown to appreciate real music by studying music theory, listening to less popular music (that doesn't just mean indie), playing instruments, and making electronic music. What is worthwhile...

Explain it like I'm five: Modernism vs. Postmodernism

Here's some notes I got from my professor talking about modernism and postmodernism: Since I've been given that knowledge, I've been going under the assumption that postmodernism is simply the search of laughter and happiness above all else. I believe it probably started with the 1950's...

    What do you call it?

http://www.popvssoda.com/countystats/total-county.html On that version you can see the exact data for your county. Interesting... out of the 43 people interviewed in my county, 39 answered coke. :D

    What do you call it?

If it's brown and fizzy, usually just call it coke. And besides that, the most popular drink in East Texas is Dr. Pepper. Sometimes I use 'soda' to distinguish it so people don't think I'd want a Coca-Cola. Never heard anyone call it a pop except on TV.

    Grammar/spelling you keep forgetting about?

I've always had trouble affect/effect. Affect is never a noun, but effect sometimes can be - ugh... Also, I could never understand the spelling of consciousness as it's different from conscience, and I have trouble understanding between conscience and conscious... And I couldn't spell...

What was your first impression of CFC-OT?

"These people seem to be more open minded and less a-hole-ish than the other forums I've been on. Also more intelligent. :goodjob:" -My first thoughts exactly (sorry, I'm not new here, just been lurking for about 6 months or so, only seldom do I muster up the confidence to post )
