    Wonder Elimination Thread

Okay, I'll put the Sistine Chapel out of its misery. It's a good wonder, just not the greatest Leaning Tower of Pisa: 51 Sistine Chapel: -2 = ELIMINATED

I guess to make expansion and warmongering more costly? As if it wasn't costly enough from culture and happiness penalties... But we should probably move this to another thread before we go more off-topic

Questions about road system in Civ5 BNW

Yes, in fact you can see your caravans use the roads along their paths. They won't always use them, but when they need them to get to your city target they will.

You have to upload them to an image sharing site (e.g. Imageshack) and post the link here. You can't directly upload images like you can on Facebook.

    Flank attack?

Civilization V has a very strange combination of tactical combat with strategic planning/building. If you wanted to eliminate it, you would need to handle it like the board game Diplomacy or Risk.

Nukes ? When are they used?

You can nuke when you want to eliminate a city but don't want to send troops to take it then raze it. The actual nuking only penalizes you for that civ, so if you're knocking them down to their last few cities you are free to do it (but don't nuke away their last city!!)

Questions about road system in Civ5 BNW

You can build roads in other civ's or city states' territory (even in enemy territory). Most of the time the worker is better spent improving your own territory though

Caravans can also use the roads you put down. Connecting your roads to foreign roads will greatly increase the range of your caravans.

I'm pretty sure that the Great Work of Art is based off of when the Great Artist was born, not when it is used. I remember trying this and failing because the older Great Artists made works of previous eras.

Maybe but unlikely, you can only get up to 30 XP from barbarians, so that's at least 6 units dedicated to fighting barbarians

Can someone explain the rationale for hoarding GSes?

Well, you're eventually going to spend all that gold on upgrading them anyway, so if you're in a tight situation then upgrading a few units now and more as you receive more gold later seems like a smarter option. Unless you are waiting to get Military Tradition (?) or the Pentagon.

Can someone explain the rationale for hoarding GSes?

My general rule is that I plant the first one, then bulb if my research is ~225 or more. I tend to bulb earlier because I think the benefits of getting those earlier techs faster outweigh the extra beakers of bulbing later.

    Food specialists and Great Farmers?

It would be cool if you could use a Great Scientist to choose a permanent boost to one of your improvements (e.g., +1 food from farms or +1 production from mines) on top of the regular boosts from technologies.
