DLCs once again not included in Steam sale

Firaxis doesn't have to do anything but people have every right to criticise the offer/pricing structure. I took particular exception to a user claiming they were not punishing early adopters, because insofar as early adopters can be "punished", it's pretty much false.

DLCs once again not included in Steam sale

Buying everything a la carte being more expensive makes sense, the issue many of us have is just how expensive it is especially in light of the deluxe edition sales price. If you are an early adopter of the original release you're asked to pay nearly 40€ for the DLC at all times. If you are a...

DLCs once again not included in Steam sale

Beyond the Sword lacked the scenarios, I'm pretty sure Warlords civs/leaders were included.

DLCs once again not included in Steam sale

No, R&F only has the 9 leaders it introduces. No DLC civs or scenarios.

DLCs once again not included in Steam sale

There are effectively "punishing" early adopters who bought only the vanilla game. New adopters often get the benefit of buying the deluxe game at a reduced rate with full knowledge of what is included, the only people who are being gouged for full price DLC are people who bought the basic game...

liberating a cs and suzerein status

It's extremely temporary. You get some free envoys and get suzerain but the AI has a tendency to then throw their envoys into it immediately.

[R&F] Rise and Fall General Discussion Thread

Is anybody else having trouble creating alliances? Seems like the AI ally with each other willy nilly but they refuse to pal up with me regardless of how positive our relationship is.

    The Scottish civ

When it comes to language choices for leaders imo it's better to use a language that's accurate but also emblematic of the civ. Robert's dialogue being in Norman French would be kind of disappointing. Why they chose Middle English over Gaelic, I don't know. Maybe they actually are planning to do...

    Language translations for leader sayings

There are dialogue files up on YouTube. For Robert the XML goes: Agenda approval: Wise to keep peace with your neighbors. Blood feuds are paid at great expense. Attacked: You gormless radger! You'll dine on your own teeth before you set foot in Scotland! Declares war: War lingers in our...

[R&F] Free Market and Rationalism got nerfed to smithereens

I don't think they should encourage tall gameplay, that just leads to annoying swathes of unclaimed territory because having a few cities is just easier to handle. As a rule of thumb going wide should be better but damaging if done recklessly.

[R&F] First Look: Robert the Bruce | Scotland

I can see people storing up alliances and cheesing space race or wonder production with the LIberation war CB. It's kind of a dull bonus but probably pretty powerful if you do the diplo game right. I hope that it's the last of the casus belli abilities though.

[R&F] First Look: Robert the Bruce | Scotland

Right now people are advocating for Gaul while expecting the staples like Ottomans and Carthage as being a matter of course. Also Irish people wouldn't appreciate being represented by Britain.
